Meet the Farmer (& Gardener) behind Flaming Acres Dahlias...
Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power. Psalm 145:4
Hello, Friends — Old and New!
If you’ve been part of the Flaming Acres journey for a while, you may have already heard: the farm will not be open to the public in 2025 for U-pick flowers, our Labor Day event, or the Fall Harvest Festival. This intentional pause is allowing us to fully focus on an exciting new chapter—one devoted entirely to growing and celebrating dahlias.
We’re expanding our flower fields and reimagining our gardens to include scenic walking paths, curated display beds, and vibrant viewing areas where guests will one day wander through thousands of blooms representing hundreds of unique varieties.
Behind the scenes, we’re hard at work preparing for online dahlia tuber sales, with updates shared on our website FlamingAcresDahlias.com and social media as the fields grow and transform.
In 2024, we cultivated over 300 dahlia varieties and harvested thousands of tubers to replant. A highlight of the season was meeting dahlia legend Jim Lamsen of Ontario, Oregon, who generously shared his decades of wisdom—and donated his surplus tubers to our farm. Thanks to his mentorship and kindness, we now have approximately 2,500 dahlia plants in the field and over 200 stunning varieties available for purchase in our online shop.
Our online catalog has been open all fall and the first shipments of tubers will go out to customers beginning March 9th, 2026.
For our local friends, neighbors, and longtime supporters—we’re thrilled to announce that the farm will reopen to visitors in 2026 with a breathtaking display of dahlias in full bloom! To celebrate, we’ll host our first annual Flower Festival on Labor Day Weekend, reopen the coffee shop, and bring back U-pick flowers, arts and crafts, workshops, and more.
We’re incredibly grateful for the support and encouragement you’ve shown us over the past three years. Your enthusiasm has helped us grow—both in the garden and as a family farm. We can’t wait to welcome you back in 2026. It’s going to be spectacular!
With heartfelt thanks,
Dion & Debra Flaming
