Dahlias Planted with Purpose: Faith in Every Furrow

Before a single dahlia blooms at Flaming Acres, something far more important is already at work beneath the surface: faith. Our farm was never just about flowers. It was born from a calling—a quiet, persistent pull to return to the land, to cultivate something lasting, and to steward beauty in a way that speaks of God’s goodness. When we planted our very first rows of dahlias, we didn’t fully know what was ahead. But we knew Who we were following.
As former teachers, our roots were in the classroom. Now, they run through the soil. The rows we walk each morning are more than just fieldwork—they're reminders of God's presence in every season. Some seasons require patience. Some call for pruning. But all of them hold purpose.
We believe that every act of cultivation—whether it’s tending a dahlia or raising a family—can be an act of worship. A way to say, “Lord, we trust You with what we’re growing.” And even though not every day on the farm is easy, each one is filled with grace.
So as we begin this month—our soft opening season—we invite you to grow with us. Not just in garden knowledge or tuber shopping but in the deeper things: in faith, in wonder, and in the simple joy of watching something beautiful take root.
We don’t take it lightly that you’re here. Whether you're a flower lover, a first-time grower, or just passing through—we hope you feel welcome. This field has a place for you.
Because beauty isn't just something we sell. It's something we’re called to cultivate.
