Dahlia tubers (and any items included in the same order) will ship between March and early June, based on your location and when your order was placed.

Dahlia Bloom Time Guide Dahlias may take their time, but the show is always worth the wait. On average, you’ll see your first blooms about 90 days after planting. But timing depends on the variety:

• Quick starters, like dwarf and low-growing types, can bloom as early as 75 days—just when summer hits its stride. • Dinnerplate giants and other large-bloom varieties may take closer to 120 days to fully unfurl their spectacular petals.

The magic of dahlias? Once they start, they don’t stop—blooming beautifully all the way until first frost.

Of course, bloom time depends on a few key ingredients: plenty of sun, deep, consistent watering, fertile soil, and a little gardener’s love. Get those right, and your dahlias will put on a show you won’t forget.

• Be true to the variety shown in the photo

• Arrive with at least one visible eye (often already sprouting!)

🌱 What to Do if Your Dahlias Don’t Sprout Dahlias should emerge from the soil within 3–5 weeks of planting. If yours haven’t sprouted by then:

• Gently dig up the tuber

• Take a clear photo of its condition

• Email us at info@flamingacresdahlias.com

📅 Important Deadlines

• Failed tubers must be reported no later than August 1st of the same growing season.

• All other concerns (disease, growth issues, etc.) must be reported by October 1st of the same growing season.

• Do not dig up or discard any plants until we’ve had a chance to help!

We may request the return of the tuber or additional photos before issuing a replacement.
