There is something exciting about turning the calendar to September.
Here at Flaming Acres, it means months of growing, tending, photographing, counting, planning, and dreaming are finally coming together.
Our online shop begins opening for the 2027 tuber season this Tuesday, September 1st, starting at noon!
And we are so excited to welcome you back.
A Little Different Kind of Opening
This year, we will be opening the shop a little differently.
Beginning at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, we will start uploading our available dahlia varieties to the online shop, beginning with the varieties we currently have in the greatest quantities and working our way through the collection one by one.
With so many varieties to add, the entire collection will not appear at once.
It may take us a few hours to get everything uploaded and ready for you, so if you visit right at noon and don't see a variety you have been waiting for, don't worry. We may simply not have reached it yet!
By the end of the afternoon, we hope to have the full opening collection available for you to explore.
There Will Be More Varieties Available After Harvest
Perhaps the most important thing we want you to know is this:
September 1st is only the beginning.
Right now, we are opening the shop based on the tuber quantities we feel confident offering before harvest.
But our dahlias are still growing in the field.
After frost arrives and we begin digging, dividing, and carefully counting our tubers, we expect to discover additional inventory that we can make available for the 2027 growing season.
That means some varieties that sell out—or aren't available during our September opening—may return later.
So please check back with us after harvest. There will be more dahlias to come!
A Little Thank You for Growing With Us
We are also offering a special savings opportunity as we begin the new season.
Receive 10% off all orders of $50 or more.
Whether you are adding just a few special varieties or planning an entirely new dahlia bed, we hope this makes it a little easier to grow something beautiful in 2027.
Come Grow With Us as a Subscriber
If you've been visiting Flaming Acres but haven't subscribed yet, we'd love to have you join us.
Our subscribers receive something special from us each month—garden resources, seasonal guides, journals, printables, early information, and other little surprises we've created especially for our Flaming Acres community.
We call them our Monthly Perks, and creating them has become one of our favorite ways to share more than tubers with the people who grow alongside us.
After all, growing dahlias is about so much more than placing a tuber in the ground.
It's about everything that happens afterward.
We Want to See What You've Grown
And that brings us to something else we especially love.
We want to see your gardens!
Somewhere across the country, tubers that once grew here at Flaming Acres are blooming in someone else's backyard, cutting garden, flower field, or favorite little corner of home.
We think that is pretty wonderful.
If you're growing Flaming Acres dahlias this season, we would love for you to share your photographs with us through our Stories in Bloom community.
Show us the flowers you're proud of.
Show us the garden you've created.
Show us the bouquet sitting on your kitchen table.
And tell us a little bit about the story behind it.
Because one of the greatest joys of growing all these dahlias is knowing that their story doesn't end when they leave our farm.
It continues in yours.
Here We Go, 2027!
Tuesday is a big day at Flaming Acres.
The online shop begins opening at noon on September 1st, and over the next several hours, more and more of our 2027 collection will make its way onto the website.
And then we'll head right back out to the field.
Because while we're already helping you dream about next year's garden, this year's dahlias are still growing—and underneath the soil, we hope they're busy making even more possibilities for 2027.
Thank you for supporting our little Idaho flower farm.
Thank you for growing our dahlias.
And thank you for allowing Flaming Acres to be a small part of your garden.
The 2027 dahlia season starts here.
Faith. Family. Flowers.
