There is something wonderfully exciting about choosing dahlias for a new growing season.
There are also a lot of choices.
With so many colors, flower forms, sizes, and varieties to consider, it can be difficult to know where to begin—especially if you're new to growing dahlias.
That is exactly why we created our Easy-to-Grow Beginner’s Guide to Flaming Acres Dahlias.
Rather than simply choosing varieties because they are beautiful, we went back to what we have learned from growing them here at Flaming Acres. Season after season, certain dahlias have proven themselves to be dependable performers—the kinds of plants that make growing dahlias feel rewarding instead of complicated.
What Makes a Dahlia Beginner-Friendly?
The varieties included in this guide weren't chosen at random.
They are dahlias we have grown and observed here at Flaming Acres and selected because they have demonstrated many of the qualities we especially appreciate in the garden:

Our hope is that this takes some of the guesswork out of choosing dahlias.
You don't need to know every flower form.
You don't need years of experience.
And you certainly don't need to choose from hundreds of varieties all at once.
