Let the 2027 Dahlia Dreaming Begin!
There is something exciting about the beginning of a new growing season—even when that season is still months away.
It begins with a little dreaming.
A color you can already imagine tucked into the garden.
A dahlia you have admired for years.
A new variety that catches your eye and suddenly has you wondering where you might find room for just one more plant.
And this week, the dreaming officially begins at Flaming Acres Dahlias.
After months of growing, photographing, counting, organizing, and preparing, we are so excited to begin sharing our 2027 dahlia collection with you.
A Collection Grown Right Here at Flaming Acres
Every tuber offered in our shop begins right here in our fields.
Throughout the growing season, we watch our dahlias carefully—not only for beautiful blooms, but for the qualities that make a variety worth growing year after year.
We notice which plants are productive.
Which varieties have strong stems.
Which colors seem to glow in the evening light.
Which blooms make us stop as we walk through the rows.
And, of course, which ones we find ourselves cutting again and again for bouquets.
Those observations help shape the collection we offer to you.
Our hope is not simply to sell dahlia tubers. We want to help you discover varieties that will bring beauty, anticipation, and joy to your own garden next summer.
If You See a Favorite, Don't Wait Too Long
As you explore the shop, you may notice that some varieties have much more availability than others.
Dahlias can be wonderfully unpredictable when it comes to tuber production. Some plants reward us with an abundance of beautiful tubers at the end of the season, while others produce only a handful.
Because of that, several varieties in our current collection are available in limited quantities.
If there is a dahlia you have been hoping to grow, we encourage you to order early.
But there is something important we want you to know:
This is not our complete 2027 inventory.
Our dahlias are still growing in the field, and our fall harvest will give us a much clearer picture of what we will have available for next season.
Once the tubers are safely harvested, divided, and counted, we expect to add additional inventory and varieties to the online shop.
So if something on your wish list sells out—or isn't available quite yet—don't give up on it.
