Every Garden Has a Story
One of the greatest joys of growing dahlias isn't simply watching flowers bloom—it is seeing where they bloom.
Over the past year, tubers from Flaming Acres Dahlias have found new homes in gardens across the country. Some are growing beside white picket fences. Others fill backyard cutting gardens, decorate family farms, brighten neighborhood flower beds, or bring color to patios and containers.
Every garden is different because every gardener has a story.
This month we'd love to celebrate those stories.
We've launched a new page on our website called Stories in Bloom, where you can share a favorite photo from your garden along with a few sentences about what you're growing this season. Whether this is your first year planting dahlias or you've been growing them for decades, we'd love to see what is blooming where you live.
You don't need to be a professional photographer. A simple snapshot from your phone is perfect.
Maybe you'd like to tell us:
Which Flaming Acres variety has surprised you.
Your very first bloom of the season.
A bouquet you shared with someone special.
A child or grandchild helping in the garden.
Why gardening has become meaningful to you.
Those little moments are what make gardening so rewarding.
Throughout July we'll be featuring submissions on our website and social media to encourage gardeners everywhere and to celebrate the beauty that's growing far beyond our own fields.
As a small thank-you, everyone who submits a story will be entered into our July Stories in Bloom Drawing. At the end of the month, we'll select one participant to receive a $25 Flaming Acres Dahlias Gift Certificate.
If you planted Flaming Acres tubers this spring, we'd especially love to hear how they're doing. Your experiences help encourage future gardeners and give others confidence as they begin their own dahlia journey.
