Sunday Reflections: The Spirit is Moving

Church Parking Lot overflowing
Jesus is Calling

“The Spirit is Moving”

My Sunday Reflections...What a glorious time at church today! We arrived fifteen minutes before the service started, and once again the parking lot was filled to capacity. Our church has been so packed lately that if you don’t arrive at least 30 minutes early to one of the five services, you might not get a seat—or even a parking spot! The numbers keep growing, the excitement is building, and the atmosphere feels charged with something far beyond human enthusiasm.

What is really going on?

The Bible says that in the last days God will pour out His Spirit on all flesh (Joel 2:28). People can argue that we’ve been in those days for two thousand years, but there’s something profoundly special about being alive right now—witnessing what feels like a full-blown revival. It’s not emotional hype or temporary zeal; it’s a genuine awakening in the souls of men and women. Hearts are softening. Lives are changing. And this time, nothing will be able to extinguish it.

It’s as though heaven itself has opened and the Spirit of God is breathing fresh life into weary souls. People are repenting of things that never seemed that bad before, surrendering what once felt too hard to give up, and laying it all at the altar. The resistance is fading, replaced by a holy hunger to walk closely with Jesus—even when it runs counter to culture, comfort, or logic.

Jesus is knocking—loudly and persistently—on the doors of hearts.

And those who open to Him find a love that defies description. There is no human relationship that compares to it. As Hebrews reminds us, Jesus is our compassionate High Priest who understands every weakness, every sorrow, every temptation—yet without sin. He walked through betrayal, shame, suffering, and death so that we could walk in freedom and life.

He knows what it’s like to be abandoned, misunderstood, slandered, and broken. Yet in His greatest agony, He still whispered, “Father, forgive them.” That’s the love being rekindled in hearts across the world today—the kind that heals, restores, and revives.

There’s something happening, friends. A stirring that feels divine. The winds of revival are not just blowing in far-off places; they’re right here, in our communities, our families, and our churches.

May we not just watch it from the sidelines.May we be vessels that carry it forward—humble, willing, and aflame with His presence.

“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.”—Habakkuk 2:14

Sincerely,

Debra Flaming
