This morning I walked the rows at Flaming Acres Dahlias, checking in on the dahlias as they push out their late-September flush of blooms. Each plant seems to have its own rhythm this time of year—some still bursting with new buds, others stretching tall and proud with full blossoms catching the light just right.
As I made my way through the field, camera in hand, I couldn’t resist snapping photos of the latest blooms. The colors are breathtaking—deep wines, sunset oranges, soft blushes, and pure whites shining bright against the autumn sky. Every step reminded me of why I love this season of the garden: dahlias never fail to surprise with their endless variety.
Catalog Updates Coming Soon
I’ll be updating our online product catalog with these fresh photos so you can see the dahlias in their current glory. A few new varieties may be making their debut as well—consider it a little “bonus round” for this season. Keep an eye out for those updates in the days ahead.
Photos & Video to Enjoy
To give you a taste of what I saw this morning, I’ve included some snapshots and video clips in this post. Whether you’re near or far, I hope they bring a little joy and beauty into your day.
A Gentle Reminder
If you’ve had your eye on certain varieties, now’s a good time to add them to your wishlist or cart. These blooms don’t last forever in the field—but through tubers, their beauty can carry on into your garden next season.
With every update, my goal is to bring you closer to the heart of Flaming Acres—where blooms are more than flowers, they’re part of a living story.
Sincerely,
Debra Flaming
