Tomorrow, Saturday, September 13th, the Southwest Idaho Dahlia Society will host its annual Dahlia Show at JUMP in downtown Boise from 10 am–5 pm. This is one of my favorite events of the year—a time when growers, arrangers, and photographers gather to celebrate the dazzling diversity of this flower we all love.

Every September, dahlia growers from across the Treasure Valley gather together for one of the most colorful events of the season—the Southwest Idaho Dahlia Society Show at JUMP in Boise. This year’s show will be held Saturday, September 13th, and for the very first time, we’ll be stepping into the excitement not just as visitors, but as participants!

More Than a Nursery: Franz Witte itself is worth the trip if you haven’t been lately. Beyond the cut garden, they are a full nursery for landscaping needs, with a wide array of plants, trees, and shrubs. And tucked inside is a charming gift shop filled with treasures for garden lovers. It’s a place where inspiration spills out of every corner.

What a start! Here’s what readers are loving since our Sept 1 “official” launch. The doors to our online shop opened August 10th for our “Soft Opening” and we are three days into our “official” launch, and the response has been incredible. Today our farm, Flaming Acres Dahlias, had the joy of welcoming the Southwest Idaho Dahlia Society as part of their annual garden tour. What a blessing it was to meet so many wonderful gardeners, flower lovers, mothers, daughters, friends, and neighbors! The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and new connections as we celebrated our shared love for the dahlia.
