Today, December 26 at noon Pacific Time, a very special dahlia will be released into the world—one that carries far more meaning than its breathtaking beauty alone.
The Kaylee Jade Dahlia was lovingly created in memory of Kaylee Jade Goncalves, a beloved young woman whose life was tragically taken in 2022. Kaylee was a student at the University of Idaho, a daughter, a sister, a friend—and someone remembered by many for her warmth, joy, and vibrant spirit.
This dahlia is not simply a flower. It is a living tribute.
A Flower Rooted in Love
Developed by Rivers Dahlias in close collaboration with Kaylee’s family, the Kaylee Jade Dahlia is a rich, regal purple—described by many as both beautiful and grand. Its presence in the garden is striking, but its purpose reaches far beyond the field.

A Purpose Beyond the Bloom
Proceeds from the sale of the Kaylee Jade Dahlia will support the newly established Made With Kindness Foundation, created by her family to help those in need. Through this foundation, Kaylee’s legacy continues—turning grief into generosity, and loss into lasting impact.
